Works as it should

Attractive finish and a practical combination of brush, bowl and stand. Bristles are good on the brush and it leathered well.

Tremendous

The synthetic bristles of the brush are phenomenal, really. Easily my new go-to. The matching bowl really makes the set. With that said, the price is the far upper edge of what I'd think the set worth. Omega's PBT brushes start around £12, some of them are available here. And as visually appealing as the set might be, there's a sense of cheapness in how light-weight the bowl is.

For all the description doesn't say it, both the brush and bowl are plastic (the stand is sensibly metal). That isn't necessarily a bad thing - I'd fret endlessly about dropping one of those £60-odd Merkur blown-glass shaving bowls. But were it finished in something other than a metallic colour, or were the bowl marginally thicker (proraso sell a shaving bowl that is both cheaper and sturdier; it isn't unachievable), I'd be more lenient.

Despite that, it's still a worthwhile set. If you want a bowl, a brush, and a stand, and you don't know where to start - you aren't going to go wrong with this.

Omega orange brush

This brush is my absolute favourite! It's incredibly soft and gentle on my skin, yet it still manages to give me a close shave. I also love its colour and chrome finish, it looks great in my bathroom.
