This stunning Dovo 'Bismarck' Cut Throat Razor features stunning pearl white acrylic handle and ornate blade with 24-karat gold etching.

Made from the highest quality carbon steel, this razor has a 6/8" round point, full hollow ground blade and offers the ultimate in blade hardness, elasticity and resistance to wear.

The name of this model is a testament to the pinnacle of straight razor craftsmanship from Solingen in the 20th century. This excellence lives on today in the form of its signature elegant look, substantial heft, and exceptional manoeuvrability.

Otto Von Bismarck

An appropriate name for a razor - Otto von Bismarck is a noted statesman who kept the balance of power in Europe for many decades. 
Made in Germany by one of the world's best manufacturers Dovo Solingen. 
This razor is hand-honed in the factory and is shave ready.

    The Blade 

    This straight razor is made of carbon steel with the material number 1.2210, better known as silver steel. In order to achieve a hardness of approximately 61 HRC, the material is heated to over 1000 degrees celsius and then immediately quenched with a special oil. The subsequent tempering at about 200 degrees celsius gives the blade elasticity and toughness. The ornaments are beautifully gold-plated with 24 karat gold.

    The Handle 

    Natural pearls have been traded for over 7000 years. The silk-matte gloss combined with an exciting array of colours have made them a sought-after raw material for jewellery production to this day. For ethical reasons, we exclusively use a pearl imitation made of acrylic glass. Selected manufacturing processes make it possible to replicate the well-known colour perfectly.

          Magnificent product

          I’ve read about this razor elsewhere and finally made the jump and bought it. I know that it’s expensive but it should last for years and it really is fantastic quality. The blade looks awesome and I am a simp for the 24-karat gold etching! If you want to splash out and treat yourself then go for the Bismarck.

          Love the pearl handle

          This cut throat razor looks and feel amazing and I bought it because of the peal white handle and the gold etching – it just oozes quality! It still performs spot on too though and the carbon steel blade is hard but makes shaving a doddle.
